• Question: Why Would you chose to work in geography instead of another line of work

      For me, geography is so broad and covers so many interesting topics that I think it is a great field to work in! Whether you are interested in human geography – looking at how people interact with space, economics, geopolitics – or physical geography – climate science, water science, atmospheric science etc – it has something for everyone! You also learn a wide range of skills from interview skills to analytical chemistry!

      I’m motivated by the opportunity to try and protect and improve the natural environment and a career in geography is a great way to try and do that. Pretty well all of the major challenges we face in the world today – climate change, war and conflict, poverty etc. – are all in some way linked to geography. Geographers have never been more important.
