Geography has always been my favourite subject mainly because it’s so varied. There are so many topics to get stuck in to, there’s something for everyone. I love how one minute you can be studying rivers, volcanoes or climate change and the next, cities, population or maps.

I also really like the practical nature of geography, especially fieldwork which gives you a hands-on experience outside of the classroom.

I always loved how wide-ranging Geography is- one minute I’m studying volcanoes, the next I’m learning about cities and globalisation! I’m not the kind of person that likes to focus on one specific topic, I love learning lots about varied topics and so Geography was the perfect subject for me!

I always loved geography, from pre-GCSE! I have always been curious about the world around me and wanted to find out more. This interest grew when I learnt about climate change and the impacts humans are having on the environment – I knew I wanted to be part of the solution.

It wasn’t until my A-Levels though that I realised that I could pursue geography as at university and ultimately as a career.
