I like maps because they help me understand and explore the world by turning lots of information into something clear, visual, and fun. Especially maps of wildlife and nature

I like maps because they paint a picture of landscape. They also can show you how landscapes change if you look at older maps. You can also visualise a landscape before being there by looking at a map!

I like maps because they quickly show where things are and how to get there, perfectly illustrating that a picture speaks a thousand words. To understand this better, try mapping your compound, locating the house, garden, playground, and other spaces.

I like maps because they provide a visual representation of the world we live in. You can make a map for pretty much anything, and for pretty much anyone. We all use maps every day without really even realizing it. There is a real skill and an art to creating the perfect map.

Take a look at the London Underground map, there is no visual representation, geographical features, no features other than the lines, the stops, the zones and the Thames. Beautifully simple, instantly recognizable and used by millions every day.
