In my current role I have been worked in all nations of the UK, but recently did a remote project for Kinshasa in Democratic Republic of Congo. I’ve been lucky to travel far and wide in previous roles: Svalbard, Madagascar and Peru are highlights. Outside of work, one of my faviorite trips was to Kyrgyzstan.
I love to travel, and spent as much time as possible travelling when I was younger. Now my wife and I have two dogs, and live far away from other countries, we don’t get to visit as many countries each year as we used to.
I am lucky that I have got to travel for work, through supporting other countries train their staff in risk and emergency management. When I worked in the UK I travelled all around the UK for work. Since being in New Zealand I’ve got to travel to Pacific Islands, Singapore, and Bangladesh.
After college I took a year off to go work and travel overseas (working in the hospitality/ tourist industry), then I did that again after University. I had to save up a lot before and work while travelling, but loved every minute of those adventures 🙂
I’ve spent a lot of time travelling this country, but outside of the UK I have been to Ireland, France, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Italy, The Vatican City, Austria, Slovenia, Denmark, Sweden, USA, Malaysia, and Singapore.
I’d love to visit more, as I approach 30 years old I plan on doing a big trip to Cuba, it is somewhere I have always wanted to visit!
